Death at Dawn

The Biblical principle is Fathers, and the key scripture is
2 Corinthians 6:18 "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

Hoss Cartwright becomes a father figure when he befriends a young boy. After his mother dies, the boy waits for his father—who is actually a recently escaped convict. When Hoss finds the father, a shootout ensues with tragic results. Now Hoss must face the young boy, explain his actions and work to remain the boy’s father figure.

The Abduction

The Biblical principle is Jealousy. and the key scripture is
Proverbs 27:4 "Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?"

Jealousy ignites when Ben helps a crippled, bitter friend—against the plans of a scheming hired hand. When Ben offers to build a mill for his friend, the hired hand suggests that Ben is after the man’s wife. As the friend accuses Ben, the helper plots to take his land, his home and even his life! And no one survives unscathed by the journey of jealousy.

The Last Trophy

The Biblical principle is Kindness, and the key scripture is
Proverbs 11:17 "A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself."

The Cartwrights demonstrate kindness as they take in a mysterious worker. After robbing the local bank, Sam hides out as a ranch hand. Although Little Joe grows suspicious, the Cartwrights give Sam the benefit of the doubt. But when Joe gets caught by the gang, Sam must decide whether or not to draw on kindness.

Silent Thunder

The Biblical principle is Revenge, and the key scripture is
Romans 12:19 "Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord."

Revenge comes to town when a New Orleans Police Lieutenant charges Ben with murder. Walking with a limp he blames on Ben, the Lieutenant states he will escort Ben back to New Orleans. However, once the two are well into the desert, the man hints that Ben will never reach New Orleans alive—and lawful duty falls to renegade revenge.
