Lucy Gets a Roommate

The Biblical principle is Outreach, and the key scripture is
Colossians4:5: "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.”

Lucy reaches out to a roommate who is way out there! Lucy’s new roommate is a painfully shy librarian—with a piercingly loud laugh! So Lucy throws a party to help the bookworm crawl out of the books. But this outreach reaches new heights when the quiet choirgirl belts out a tune with the band! (Bonus: The roommate is Co-Queen of Comedy Carol Burnett!)

Lucy and the Ring-A-Ding Ring

The Biblical principle is Happiness, and the key scripture is
Philippians 4:11: "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."

Lucy pursues happiness—and runs rings around herself! When Mr. Mooney secures a ring for his wife, Lucy scrambles to secure contentment! First, she sneaks a peek at the price. Next, she slips the ring on—and slides off into a fantasy Life. And lastly, she leans on pills for peace. In the end, Lucy finally gets free of the ring—and her hassles with happiness!

Lucy and the Submarine Commander

The Biblical principle is Boasts, and the key scripture is
1 Corinthians 1:31: “Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”

Dive for cover when Mr. Mooney boasts to Lucy about his battles in the Navy! Ready for Naval reserve duty, Mr. Mooney brags of past heroics on a warship (although he was a Housing Officer in Wichita.) But when Mr. Mooney gets re-assigned to run a submarine, everyone on board nearly sinks like a stone when his boasting won’t hold water!

Lucy and the Look-Alike

The Biblical principle is Likeness, and the key scripture is
Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

Lucy gets double-vision after she forces a friend into a look-alike contest. When Lucy meets a bank customer who looks like a certain movie star, he reluctantly agrees to get altered—with a cowboy costume, pancake makeup, even a secondhand horse. But after they fail to win, both learn that it’s better to like yourself than try to be like someone else.
